|Shell cover Beach Trail at Indian Rocks Beach. Larry films Helen, Violetta and Mar y Rose|
Where have the past five months gone to? It seems like a blur.
We have very exciting news. The Plein Aire Cottage Artists: Mary Rose Holmes,
Violetta Chandler and Helen Tilston have been filming. We are the subject of an upcoming PBS documentary "Save Our Cottages; Painters With a Cause"
We have had several days of filming outdoors at Indian Rocks Beach, Florida.
Our next destination for filming will be Provence, France in June. This being the birthplace of Impressionism.
This is a new experience for all three of us and we are learning a lot.
We are working with Lynn Marvin Dingfelder

I am looking forward to visiting your blog.
Are the cottages going to be demolished? i hope not, I hate it when interesting old buildings are knocked down.ReplyDelete
It is an ongoing concern. We are pleased to report that the citizens are getting very involved and attending City planning meetings and objecting to variances. Hope all is great with you.
Dear Helen, it is always a delightful surprise to see you blog pop up, and what exciting times you are having. How I would love to see these interviews - I wonder if they will reach Australia? The trip to Provence will be fantastic - I do hope you share a little of it with us all :) xoReplyDelete
Thank you for reading my blog and for your kind words. There is a possibility that Save Our Cottages; Artists with a cause will go international. We are getting excited about our trip to Provence. I will definitely share this. Fondest wishes.
Sounds like an interesting project!ReplyDelete

Dear Helen - what great excitement you three talented girls have been involved in. Will we be able to see the end results in the Uk? I do hope so. Provence in June will be idyllic.ReplyDelete
it is all very exciting indeed and a delightful experience. I understand that PBS can and do sell their documentaries internationally. We are all very much looking forward to being in Provence painting and filming. I hope all is great with you.
I loved your post on arsenic. You are a trendsetting and just this week I noticed the Globe & Mail wrote an article on arsenic but we saw it first on "Where Five Valleys Meet" Helen xx
Wow! That is exciting news. Have fun and enjoy, Helen.ReplyDelete

Hee Hee, I like your comment, "smile for the camera" We will try. We are certainly enjoying this new experience for us. I hope all is great with you.
I am a little puzzled as I left a comment on this wonderful post with such great news about The Plein Aire Cottage Artists several days ago and it is not here.
In any case, I remember saying something to the effect that this vehicle is bound to be bring your cause to awareness, and hopefully attain the results that you deserve. Love all the candid shots of the behind the scenes activities. Please keep us posted.
Wishing you a lovely week,
How wonderful it must be for you all to be featured in a documentary. Keep us posted.ReplyDelete
