Save Our Cottages; Painters With A Cause

Shell cover Beach Trail at Indian Rocks Beach.  Larry films Helen, Violetta and Mar y Rose

Where have the past five months gone to?    It seems like a blur.
We have very exciting news.  The Plein Aire Cottage Artists:  Mary Rose Holmes,
Violetta Chandler and Helen Tilston have been filming.   We are the subject of an upcoming PBS documentary "Save Our Cottages;  Painters With a Cause"
We have had several days of filming outdoors at Indian Rocks Beach, Florida.

Our next destination for filming will be Provence, France in June.  This being the birthplace of Impressionism.

This is a new experience for all three of us and we are learning a lot.

We are working with Lynn Marvin Dingfelder
EMMY Award Winning Documentary Producer
   and

Larry Wiezycki
Editor/Director

    1. Hello Jenny,
It is an ongoing concern. We are pleased to report that the citizens are getting very involved and attending City planning meetings and objecting to variances. Hope all is great with you.

  9. Dear Helen,

I am a little puzzled as I left a comment on this wonderful post with such great news about The Plein Aire Cottage Artists several days ago and it is not here.

In any case, I remember saying something to the effect that this vehicle is bound to be bring your cause to awareness, and hopefully attain the results that you deserve. Love all the candid shots of the behind the scenes activities. Please keep us posted.

    Wishing you a lovely week,
    Poppy xx
