Summer and Lost Buttons

Helen Tilston in Sarasota, Florida

I hope you are having the best summer ever.

There has been lots of excitement here and several trips both local and international.

My second blog Plein Aire Cottage Artists explains my lost button and I would greatly welcome assistance.

  1. Looks as if you are having a wonderful Summer Helen and, a productive one too.
I'm afraid that I'm the last one to ask when it comes to technology but, I just usually google my problem and invariably get an answer that sorts it. Hope that might help….. it's the best that I have !!!! XXXX

    1. Hello Jacqueline. Yes we are having a great summer and as the saying goes 'somethings got to give' and that would be my garden.
I changed my template and all the tutorials for re-installing the darned button are obsolete and blogger changed "html" a year ago.
Technology certainly brings out the humble in us.

How kind of you to offer help but I fully understand this is difficult to do.
Button or no button the joys of summer shall prevail.

  4. Really sorry Helen, I would like to help but I find it very difficult to offer advice on another blog. I do the same as Jacqueline and tend to ask the blogger forums for help.

    1. Hello Rosemary

Thank you for your kind concern. I have burned the midnight oil trying forums and will give it some more research. I was hoping there was a simply step.
I'm still puzzling over your gate.

  5. Same here, Helen. No idea why these problems arise on Bloggger and just Google till I find a solution. Your summer sounds teriffic. When I read lost Buttons I thought of buttons on clothing. That says I belong to the older, not younger, generation. Have a great week, Helen!

    1. Hello Sanda

Yes, lost buttons means something else when one can sew. Recently a young friend's child was fascinated watching me sew on a button and repair a hole in a sweater. Perhaps this is going to be a lost craft.
Hope you are having a wonderful week

  6. Hi Helen,
I'm not sure what might have happened to your reply button, but it might be worth searching for an answer on Google's Blogger help forums. I hope your summer is going well! I am in the midst of getting settled in New York so things are in a bit of a whirlwind right now. Hopefully things will feel a bit more settled in a couple weeks, but classes start next week and I am carrying a very heavy course load.
    All the best,
    Louise

  9. Hello, Helen!

You seem to be having a really wonderful summer. Lovely picture; the colors are so alive and inviting.
Regarding the lost button, I think the Blogger help forums should be helpful. I'm quite apprehensive when it comes to these things, which is why I seldom change my settings. Hope it gets fixed soon. Take care.

The light is always special in this little corner of Sarasota.
You are wise and I have had success with Blogger Forums. I will leave well enough alone in future. It is enormously time consuming
      Kindest regards

How kind of you to read my posts and your kind words are much appreciated. I feel great joy also when you post and it transposes me to a country which I love and admire.
The lost button has been found, so to speak.

  12. Hello Helen,

We are certain that wherever you may be joy will be close at hand, for that is what you create and bring to life. We cannot wait for you to have a spare moment to write and share with us everything that you have been doing. Sometimes the pace of life really does prevent one from being present in Blogland, but you are always in our thoughts.

We imagined a lost button to be part of your clothing which had gone amiss. We now realise that this is a technological rather than a textile problem. Hence, unsurprisingly, we can be of no help whatsoever. What wer can do is raise a glass in celebration of your birthday. Cheers!

    1. Dearest Jane and Lance,

Your words are uplifting and generous on this rainy morning. A soft rain, as they say here in Ireland.
This summer has been beautiful and lots of travelling and gallivanting.
You are fine examples of living life to the fullest and being inclusive.
Thank you for the birthday wishes.

      Fondly,

      Helen xx

  18. Oh technology. I am impressed you figured it out. Usually takes me weeks. Oh what a summer you must have had. I didn't get to go anywhere, though I can dream.
